Alice in Wonderland Breaks Box Office Records
Looks like no one's late for this very important date! Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland is setting records left and right. The movie, which opened on Friday, had the best 3D and IMAX openings in history (yes, it beat Avatar, which was smashing records itself!) and is the biggest March release ever.
The Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp, and Anne Hathaway flick earned $41 million on opening day, which means it's the 11th biggest first-day ever (The Twilight Saga: New Moon still is number 1 with $72.7 million) -- and estimates say it will bring in about $115 million this weekend.
