Disney Channel “Austin & Ally” Premiering December 4, 2011

The Disney Channel has announced that the new show “Austin & Ally” will premiere on December 4, 2011 at 8/7c. The show was created by Kevin Kopelow and Heath Seifert, who worked on “Sonny With A Chance” and “JONAS.” Also, the pilot was directed by Shelley Jensen (“Shake It Up”).

“A comedy about the unique relationship between a young songwriter, Ally Dawson, and Austin Ray, the overnight internet sensation who gains sudden notoriety after performing one of Ally’s songs. Austin and Ally struggle with how to maintain and capitalize on Austin’s newfound fame. Austin is more of a rebel type who doesn’t follow the rules and is somewhat immature for his age, while Ally is conservative yet self-conscious.”

Bella Thorne And Zendaya Coleman Share Their Plans For The Summer

 

Bella Thorne and Zendaya Colman spill their summer plans in the video below. The two ladies plan to work on their Disney Channel Original Series “Shake It Up” as well as spend tons of time together outside of work. Both Bella and Zendaya love swimming and spending time at the beach, so we’re guessing they’ll be doing lots of that!

Demi Lovato Excited For Walt Disney Pictures “Prom” Movie!!

Demi Lovato took to Twitter to let everyone know that she is looking forward to Walt Disney Pictures upcoming live-action movie “Prom.” The movie stars Aimee Teegarden (“Friday Night Lights”) as the character Nova who is super excited for her senior prom! The movie will arrive in theaters on April 29, 2011.

Disney Channel Original Movie “Geek Charming” !!

Here is an update on the Disney Channel Original Movie “Geek Charming.” The movie stars Sarah Hyland (“Modern Family”) and Matt Prokop (“High School Musical 3: Senior Year”) – both of whom are actually dating in real life!

“Geek Charming” will explore the dynamics of high school and social hierarchy and is based on the young adult novel “Geek Charming” by Robin Palmer.

The movie was written by Elizabeth Hackett and Hilary Galanoy and will be directed by Jeffrey Hornaday (choreographer of “A Chorus Line,” “Flashdance”). Executive producers will be David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman (both of “The Muppets,” “The Fighter,” “The Proposal”) and Paul Shapiro (“Detroit 1-8-7″). The movie is a production of Mandeville Films and Television.

Disney Channel Original Movie “Frenemies”!!

The Disney Channel has announced a new Disney Channel Original Movie titled “Frenemies.” The movie follows three pairs of friends as they try to find a balance when “besties go to worsties, and back again.” The movie is set to arrive on the network in 2012.

“Frenemies” was written by Dava Savel, Wendy Weiner and Jim Krieg. The movie will be directed by Daisy Mayer and produced by Les Morgenstein and Bob Levy. “Frenemies” is a production of Alloy Entertainment.

Disney’s PROM Talk With Tess: Lesson To Lloyd!!

Here is a new featurette for Disney’s upcoming movie “Prom” featuring Raini Rodriguez as Tess and Nicholas Braun as Lloyd. In the clip Tess is trying to help Lloyd prepare to ask a girl to go to prom with him, but things don’t seem to be going so well!

Disney’s “Prom” will arrive in theaters on April 29, 2011.

Disney: New Episodes!

I live in Pakistan so we don't have the original Disney Channel here. We get the Middle East one. And it was the premiere of Sonny With a Chance on it today! (JONAS will come in October) Today not only did I got to see the first episode of Sonny With a Chance, I also got to see a new episode of Hannah Montana and 2 new episodes of Wizrds of Waverly Place and also Princess Protection Program (again). Also PPP premiered on this Disney Channel one week before it premiered on the original Disney Channel!
