High School Musical alum Vanessa Hudgens has scored another musical role -- and this time it's on stage.
Vanessa will play Mimi in the popular rock musical by Jonathan Larson, Rent, in a special three-night presentation in Hollywood, CA, at the Hollywood Bowl on August 6, 7, and 8.
And it might just have been her role in the upcoming film Beastly that landed her the role since Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) was one of her costars. Now he's stepping up to make his musical directorial debut in this special production of Rent -- and actually has been using his Twitter to seek out suggestions for who he should cast! (Incidentally, Neil himself starred in a L.A. production of Rent in the 1990s!)
So far no one else but Vanessa has been cast, but we nominate Zac Efron and Joe Jonas for roles!
