Miley Cyrus' AMA performance!

I like the performance. She has definitely improved her vocals but I'm not so crazy about the dress. It seems kind of weird!

Taylor Swift Wins BMI Country Songwriter of the Year Award

Taylor Swift is up to her old tricks -- breaking records, that is.
Last night, Taylor snagged the top honor at last night's BMI Awards in Nashville, winning the Country Songwriter of the Year award. At 20, Taylor was the youngest person to ever win the award.
Taylor also won the award for Country Song of the Year for her hit tune "You Belong With Me," making her the first to win that award three years in a row. She won the same award for "Love Story" in 2009 and "Teardrops on My Guitar" in 2008.
While Taylor hasn't commented on her BMI Awards yet, she did Tweet this from the show:
"At the BMI awards. It's got a red theme. They have hot tamales in the centerpiece at the table. Is it bad that I'm eating them? Classy.."

Why Miley's Learning Street Fighting!

Hiiii-ya!
In Miley Cyrus' upcoming flick So Undercover, the pop star will play an undercover sorority girl who's really a street-smart private eye. Which means she needs some major butt-kicking skills.
And luckily, she's learning the ropes: "I've been actually doing all kinds of stuff. ... I've been doing fighting, like learning how to box ... mostly like street fighting, so knowing how to, like, if someone comes up from behind you, being able to defend yourself," Miley told MTV.
"I have a trainer and I have bruises everywhere from, like, kicking the bags. ... And I've learned how to use guns, which was really scary."

Shoulder to cry on?

Looks like Demi Lovato had quite a support system after her rough breakup with Joe Jonas: the much older That 70's Show star Wilmer Valderrama!

"The two started seeing each other in May right after he breakup with Jonas," a source said. "She would show us pictures of them together."

And apparently, Demi was hanging with Wilmer right up to her decision to enter rehab. As for whether or not these two are more than friends? Demi's rep has no comment, while Wilmer's denies a relationship.

Does Miley Have a New Man?

Miley Cyrus sure could "Use Somebody!"

Since her recent split with on-again off-again BF Liam Hemsworth, one report claims she's been cozying up to Kings of Leon bandmember Jared Followill.
At the MTV Europe Music Awards in Madrid on Sunday night, "their crews were sitting near each other on and Miley was texting Followill all night long before leaving the party together." a source told the New York Post.

And apparently, this isn't the first time Jared's been on Miley's radar. After last year's Grammy Awards, the Hannah Montana star told Rolling Stone that Jared was "pretty good-looking."

Why Selena's Such a Stylista!

Now here's a great sign!

In a recent interview, Selena Gomez talked horoscopes and her clothing line, "Dream Out Loud," which she said was inspired by a fan... and the cosmos.

Apparently, the Wizards of Waverly Place star spotted a great outfit that one of her admirers wore one day that she just had to have. "I wanted to feel like that all the time!" Sel revealed. Well, fair enough...

When she started talking 'scopes, Sel opened up about being a Cancer: meaning she's sensitive, confident, and emotional.

And she's on the cusp of a Leo - characterized as proud, independent, and the center of attention

What's Miley Gonna Do On Her 18th Birthday?

Family drama won't keep Miley Cyrus down!

The star — whose parents recently announced their divorce — is planning her 18th birthday on November 23, and MTV News talked about how she'll be celebrating the big day.

"I'm not going to go crazy; [just] have a fun party and then maybe take a vacation with my family... because that would be really cool," Miley said. "I think we need time to all be together." That sounds like a great idea to us!

Then, when the reporter pretended to conduct the interview in Spanish, though, Miley started cracking up. "I failed Spanish," she revealed. "I'm really, really bad at it. It's not the words; it's the pronunciation that the hard part."
