Selena: "I'd love to win an Oscar one day!"

Selena Gomez recently chatted with TV Guide about her upcoming record, her future goals and what she does to relax. The Disney starlet also tells her fans to listen to their parents and shares what she loves to do with her family.


On Playing Alex: I love my character, my character really fun. She’s kind of an opposite to me. She gets in trouble a lot and I try to be as good as possible!

On Singing With Demi Lovato: I’m really excited, we’re doing a music video for a duet together. We’ve always wanted to sing since we were seven together, so we finally got to do it!

On Her Focus: I’m really focused on my music. I can’t wait for my fans to hear it! I’m doing what I love to do.

On Living Life: It’s not necessarily that I plan, it’s goals that I’d like to achieve. I’d love to have a family one day. I’d love to move back to Texas. I’d love to win an Oscar one day!

Selena Gomez on Sara Lee Bread!

Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place star Selena Gomez will be appearing on 30 million packages of Sara Lee White Bread soon! The bread packaging will include Selena’s face as a way to market the bread to kids and their families.


This new marketing tactic by Disney joins the numerous other Disney celebrities appearing on food products – including High School Musical Avacados and Hannah Montana Cherries.

Selena's CD Comes Out 29th Sept!!

How excited are all of you that Selena Gomez’s first debut album will be available for purchase at the end of September?!
The CD releases to stores and online on September 29th. We already know what the first single is too – which should be released within the next few weeks to get us all excited for the upcoming album.

Well, all you Selena fans, the wait is almost over! Selena Gomez has OFFICIALLY completed her very FIRST full length album and is SO excited to tell all of you about it! “I have officially finished my first record! Selena wrote excitedly, “The fact that I can say I have a record is a dream come true to me but not possible if it weren’t for you guys.” She also gave SPECIFIC instructions on what she wants YOU to do once you get her album in your possession, “Once it’s in your hands,” Sel said, “Go into your room, car, house, school or your best friends cousins aunts house turn the volume up really, really loud sit down and if you do not get a sudden urge to get up and dance, scream, yell or move whatsoever, I have failed.” We promise, Selena! Leapin' wizards: Selena Gomez is FINALLY dishing the deets on Taylor Lautner! In a recent interview with a teen mag, Selena (who insists she's now "100 percent single") says that her summer spent with T-Laut was truly magical! She says they met by chance earlier this year in Vancouver, with Taylor's co-star Kristen Stewart staying at Selena's hotel (she was filming Ramona and Beezus; they were filming New Moon).But soon enough, they were becoming paparazzi sensations! "We literally just wanted to hang out, go bowling and stuff, and it went a little too far, I think. People were getting a little crazy about us." Go on!"I went to Vancouver thinking I was going to focus on my work, but instead I got to meet him, and it ended up being the best thing ever... He is so sweet. Taylor has made me so happy. I didn't know I could be that happy. You probably see it in the pictures! I'm smiling so big." Sounds like someone still is fully on Team Jacob! Well, who could blame her?!

Selena's New Music Video "Magic" Premieres Today!!

The Disney Channel is premiering Selena Gomez’s new music video “Magic” today, Friday, July 24th, at 8:59 p.m. ET/PT. Radio Disney will premiere the song, which is featured on the soon to be released "Wizards of Waverly Place" soundtrack, earlier that day (3:00 p.m. PT/ 6:00p.m. ET).
The music video features scenes from the upcoming "Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie," which premieres Friday, August 28 on Disney Channel.
The"Wizards of Waverly Place" soundtrack releases worldwide Tuesday, August 4 and includes musical selections inspired by "Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie" and the Emmy-nominated series "Wizards of Waverly Place," including four songs performed by Gomez.
The "Magic" music video will premiere after the first episode in the "Wizards vs. Vampires" four-episode programming event which follows the Russo family and their encounters with the Van Heusens, a family of vampires who own a competing sandwich shop. Beginning FRIDAY, JULY 24 (8:00- 8:45 p.m. ET/PT), new episodes will air for three consecutive Friday’s thereafter.

Selena Turns to Demi for Music Advice!

Selena Gomez has been a busy girl lately. What with finishing the movie Ramona and Beezus beginning the third season of Wizards of Waverly Place you’d think she wouldn’t have time for much else. But there’s ONE more thing that Selena is making time for these days: her music. Being BFF with Demi Lovato, Selena has found it helpful to turn to Demi for musical advice, “Demi has always been more musically involved,” Selena shared with us, “So the moment that I got to play my music for her was kind of asking for approval first. You know, I played her my music and I was nervous. I was like, ‘What is she gonna think?’” So, what DID Demi think when she first heard Selena’s songs? “She loved it,” Selena beamed, “She loves all my stuff. She always tell me, ‘Send it, send it, send it’ so she can jam out to it, which was really big for me because she’s more into that, so it was really nice to have her perspective on it.” Even if you’re famous like Selena, there really is NOTHING better than the support from your BFF.

If you feel like you’re the only one of your friends without a boyfriend think again! One of FAVORITE stars, Selena Gomez, doesn’t have a boyfriend either, and guess what? She doesn’t WANT one! “I’m young and I just want to be able to have fun and be able to be comfortable [with who I am],” the starlet shares. In the past she ALSO thought she needed a boy to help complete her but she doesn’t feel that way anymore, “I’m definitely one of those girls who thinks they have to change themselves [for a guy]. But that’s NOT the way it should be! So, right now, I’m just glad to be myself.” WE’RE glad you’re being yourself too, Selena! That way we’re not trying to be anything different.
