1. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn- Part One

And with Breaking Dawn- Part Two looming on the 2012 release horizon, we already know there’s a hot year ahead!

Taylor Lautner’s decision to risk ‘Abduction’

Check out Taylor discussing filming Abduction. He is promoting the release of Abduction, out on DVD January 17.
For his first post-Twilight leading role, Taylor Lautner worked with Boyz N The Hood director John Singleton in the fast-paced thriller Abduction. Although Lautner laments the end of The Twilight Saga, he is anxious to do more nail-biters like Abduction.
After becoming an international superstar as part of the cast of the global box office phenomenon – The Twilight Saga (of five films) — Taylor Lautner chose to team up with director John Singleton (the filmmaker behind such contemporary classics Poetic Justice, Boyz n the Hood) for a cinematic change of pace — playing the leading man in the adrenaline-pumping thriller Abduction (now available on VOD; coming to Blu-ray Disc and DVD).
You worked the red carpet at the premiere for Abduction, like a pro. You talked to the media but you spent a lot of time with your fans, too.
“Yeah, that’s always one of the most important parts for me, and it was great. There was a lot of fans there. It was awesome. There was a lot of energy. It was kind of my first premiere outside of Twilight in a while. I did Valentine’s Day, but I didn’t know how it was going to be and the energy felt the exact same which was amazing.”
Do you ever get tired of the screaming girls and fainting fans?
“To be honest, no. I mean, I’m sure that there might be moments, like maybe if I’m tired or something and I’m just waking up, but not really. If that’s their way of showing their passion then I will take it.”
Your Abduction costar Jason Isaacs said the hardcore fans were camped out on the set every day to get a glimpse of you in the car…
“There was a lot of fans on set. I think probably the highlight, we were actually there for a week. We were filming in a random city called Sutterville and there was a population of six hundred people and one night we had over eight hundred girls on set. So, there was definitely a few people driving in from different cities. It was pretty impressive. There were some great fans there in Sutterville.”
How do you handle that? You can’t talk to all of them.
“I found a way to. It was tiring because we were actually filming nights there. So, you show up at 8PM and work until 5AM. At 5AM I would go out and there would literally be eight hundred people down the street. I would go out and pretty much take pictures with all of them. It took about an hour and we tried to do it fast. Doing it fast for eight hundred people was still an hour. But it was important to me.”
Any crazy fan encounters?
“No, nothing crazy. I think that I had like three hundred people in my front lawn at one point, but that was about it.”
That’s not crazy at all.
(Laughs) “They were behaved fans though.”
Where do you see yourself two years from now when the Twilight phenomenon is all said and done? What direction do you want to go?
“That’s a good question. If you had asked me that question two years ago I wouldn’t have guessed that I’d be sitting here today, but my goal is to continue to challenge myself in a wide variety of roles and genres. I mean, what attracted me to this, another thing, was that it was different than anything that I’d ever done before. I had a great experience with it. I love it, but now I’m definitely looking forward to doing something completely different from this.”
What about a musical?
“I do want to challenge myself, but probably not that much. My fans would not want to see that.”
Would you do another franchise like the Twilight series?
“Yeah, if it made sense. You take it one movie at a time and if people enjoy it and I love it then I’m definitely open to the idea.”

Carter Burwell on Twilight, Breaking Dawn & his Inspiration

It was like a scene out of a movie. Film score composer Carter Burwellwrote the final cue to The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn (Part I) at his piano in the country by the flickering light of an oil lamp.
“I was out at my place in Amagansett trying to finish up the score when Hurricane Irene hit and took out my power,” Burwell describes. “And it stayed out for four days. So I ended up writing the ending in this darkened, boarded up house.
“It was interesting and painful at the same time,” he says, with a laugh. “But it worked out.”
Being forced to compose the old-fashioned way is not as extreme an exercise for Burwell as it might be for another composer; he does write most of his themes at the piano. And the storm made a perfectly dark and romantic setting in which to conjure the final scene’s music, where Burwell reprises the soaring “Bella’s Lullaby” theme from the first Twilight, with liturgical sounds. Without spoiling the ending, it’s a heavy, most climactic scene.
Looking over your filmography, it seems like you haven’t scored a sequel before. You did the first Twilight but not the second and third. Can you tell me about how you came to doBreaking Dawn, the fourth of the Twilight films?
It’s true, I’ve never scored a sequel. But it’s pretty simple – I’ve worked with this director – Bill Condon – before [on Kinsey]. Bill wanted me to do the scores, but he wasn’t sure I would want to because they’re such huge melodramas, and that’s really very different than what I normally do. But he is entirely a pleasure to work with so I definitely wanted to do it.
When I was composing music for the first Twilight, I don’t think any of us knew that it would be thatpopular… that it would have this cultural resonance. There was such an enormous response. There have been thousands of emails people have written me, wanting to know how to play the themes on piano. And that has been really nice.
Oh that’s really cool – the fans genuinely engaging with the film’s score. Wow. So, in scoring this latest film, did you reprise any of those themes from the first? How did you continue that work you’d done on the first one, or did you not approach it like that at all?
Well, I did to some extent. The intervening two films were directed by different people and composed by different people and they didn’t use any of the musical themes from the first one.
But there’s this one love theme called “Bella’s Lullaby” that was on the Twilight soundtrack album and that’s the one that most people respond to from the first movie. And when I first talked to Bill Condon, he was excited to bring back “Bella’s Lullaby” – so we have brought it back, judiciously. There’s a hint of it here and there, and then in the last scene of this movie, we actually play it out. And it’s pretty dramatic.

Rob, Kristen, Taylor and Cast Interview with Startalk (Philippines)

Robert Pattinson’s Interview with Philippine Daily Inquirer

Breaking into his impish grin, Robert said about an actor in a much-anticipated scene in “Breaking Dawn – Part 1,” “I thought he was a real priest in the scene when we were getting married. He kept forgetting what our characters’ names were. He called us Robert and Kristen. She told me that he wasn’t a real priest.”
Asked how many beds were used in his bed-shaking sex scene with Kristen, Robert laughed and replied, “It was just one bed but it was a trick bed. It was unusual to do a sex scene when there’s a whole stunt set-up. There were three guys behind the bed who controlled the bed. I’m trying to do a sex scene and a guy is cueing me for when the bed breaks. I’m also looking at the big guy lying underneath, on the floor.”
He explained, “When you’re doing a sex scene, people don’t really give you that much pressure on the set because for one thing, a director doesn’t want to step in and suggest how he would do it (laughing). Because it’s probably uncomfortable for him, too.”
“I was protective of Kristen,” he admitted about filming the scene. “She is so much more comfortable with her body than I am. I was thinking, we must keep the sheet up in between takes. But that was really more for her. That was probably the scariest part – having to be judged by your physicality. I was trying to avoid that in the entire series.”
Robert did workouts to be in shape for the shirtless scenes. “Yeah, for a while,” he said. With a chuckle, he quipped,“But as soon as I didn’t have to take my shirt off, I stopped.”

Carolina Herrera Talks About the Inspiration for Bella’s Wedding Gown

…Even Mrs. Herrera, brought on by the “Twilight” author, Stephenie Meyer, hasn’t revealed so much as a silhouette or a neckline. Mrs. Meyer’s 2008 book, “Breaking Dawn (The Twilight Saga, Book 4),” offers only quick glimpses of the dress, like “a long line of pearl buttons” up the back.
“I wanted the dress to have a period feel without being actually vintage,” Mrs. Meyer, who collaborated with Ms. Herrera, said in an e-mail [to the NYT].
Mrs. Herrera, whose gowns typically begin at $4,000, was equally cryptic in an e-mail:“Of course, I was inspired by Stephenie’s description of the gown in the book,” she wrote. “I also took into consideration the personality and the style of the bride.”
After being sent repeated e-mails asking for an image of the dress, Eric Kops, Summit’s senior vice president for publicity, responded: “We are saving the reveal of the dress as a surprise for the fans when they see the film. Therefore, we aren’t planning to release any images showing the dress until after the film in theatres.”

Robert Pattinson Talks with The Herald Sun “Kristen Really Connected to This Film”

The guitar-playing actor reveals that the harrowing childbirth scenes were tough to watch, given that Bella was writhing in pain and covered in blood for most of the scenes.
He not only found the on-set experience intense but also had some trouble coming to terms with his place in the movie.
“Kristen really connected to this film – she thought that it was Bella’s journey and that it was really important. But when I first read the script, I was so frustrated because what is Edward supposed to do, when he’s on the sidelines, worrying?” muses the Londoner.
“By the time I was called on to the set, Kristen had gone so far beating herself up that I was terrified – and I hadn’t been terrified since the first movie.
“We shot the childbirth scenes as continuous sequence, from when she goes into labour to the birth, so we really had to commit to what we were doing.
“By then, Edward’s really beaten down and has to give up his ego.
“It’s only in part 2 that Edward rebuilds himself again and I admire him for that.”
The 25-year-old heartthrob says it was emotionally challenging to act around all the special effects that show Bella’s emaciated body giving birth to baby Renesmee.
“Kristen’s head was attached to a dummy body which had gore all over it, and she was wearing a torn hospital gown. It looked unbelievably bad. It was more like a Saw movie than a Twilight movie.
“And the dummy was so realistic I was shocked when I first walked on set – to see anyone you know look like that is just horrible.”
Did he try on Bella’s fake pregnancy belly?
“I wanted to but they wouldn’t let me,” he laughs.
Hype around the movie has been growing ever since the producers released photographs of the much anticipated Edward/Bella wedding.
Pattinson remembers the day they said their “I do’s” with some amusement, mostly because as the groom no one was interested in his outfit.
“We had all these paparazzi helicopters above and no one asked me to hide as it was all about the dress,” he recalls in wonderment.
“I was standing there in the wide open wearing a tuxedo and Kristen was shrouded in secrecy with this dress on.”

Dakota & Elle Fanning Cover 'W Magazine'

Dakota & Elle Fanning are golden girls on the cover of W Magazine’s December 2011 issue.

Dakota, 17, and Elle, 13, dished to the mag about fame, clothes, and reality shows. Check it:

Elle on Dakota: “She is a nice older sister. But it’s not like we always get along. Now that she’s going to college, it’s different. I went into her room at home in California, and all her clothes were gone! Her closet was empty! I don’t get to go in there and steal clothes anymore. It’s really strange. It’s sort of like she’s off making a movie, but this time she’s not coming back.”

Elle on watching TV shows with Dakota: “Sometimes. We watch a lot of reality TV. My sister and I record Big Brother. We’re obsessed! And we love old game shows like Password and the original Family Feud. Also, me and my sister watch Criminal Minds. We record every episode, and we watch it every single night.”

Dakota on handling fame: “I don’t know if I’ve ever gotten any formal advice, but I’ve always felt that you should never forget that you’re just a person. Even though you’re not like everyone else, you are just like everyone else. For instance, I met someone the other day, and they said, “Hi, I’m so-and-so.” I said, “Hi, I’m Dakota.” And they’re like, “Yeah, I know.” But I can’t lose the fact that I still need to introduce myself to people even though they might already know my name or who I am. Oh, yeah, I guess you already know my name, but I’m going to say it anyway.”

Ashley Tisdale Guest Starring On “Raising Hope”

Ashley Tisdale will guest star on “Raising Hope” in the Valentine’s Day episode. Ashley will play a fake girlfriend to Jimmy (played by Lucas Neff), who comes up with the plan to make Sabrina (played by Shannon Woodward) jealous. Are you a fan of “Raising Hope”?

Chelsea Kane Guest Stars On “One Tree Hill”

Chelsea Kane recently filmed a guest spot on “One Tree Hill.” Chelsea played the character Tara, a girl who likes to cause conflict! Here’s what Chelsea wrote on her blog about her guest starring role:

Season 9 of “One Tree Hill” premieres on January 11, 2012. We’ll keep you posted when we find out the air date of Chelsea’s episode!

Nick Jonas Guest Stars On ABC’s “Last Man Standing”

Nick Jonas is trying out a new role on ABC’s “Last Man Standing.” He is playing the character Ryan, who is the father of Boyd – the grandson of Tim Allen’s character. Nick’s character is so not a goody two-shoes like his characters normally are, instead he isn’t well liked by the other characters on the show since he is the ex of Alexandra Krosney’s character Kristin. Uh oh.
It will be interesting to watch Nick play the role of a daddy!

Fandango’s Interview with Rob, Kristen and Taylor for Breaking Dawn

Here is part of the interview with Kristen, Rob and Taylor.  To read more, please visit Fandango!

Q: Kristen, did any of Bella’s qualities stick with you after portraying her for so many years?
Kristen Stewart: Not really, only because I’m pretty wrapped up in her. I’ve always felt that you really project yourself onto a character. If you’re the type of girl to identify with Bella, then you just kind of are her. I genuinely had to justify every decision she made the whole way through. Sometimes your character in films would do things you wouldn’t do. You’re not playing yourself all the time, but somehow, I could not disagree with her, ever.

Q: Robert, how has your Twilight experience affected you?
Robert Pattinson: It presented a whole variety of obstacles in terms of how you grow and figure out who you want to be. It’s like a very complicated maze. I didn’t even know if I was going to continue acting before this happened, and now, I have much more of a drive and passion for it than I ever did before.

Q: Kristen, what do Taylor and Rob bring to the experience?
Stewart: I can’t imagine what this movie would’ve been if I didn’t have really, really solid – and always growing – relationships with them… When you work with people like that, you can give so much, you’re so comfortable, you can do no wrong. We got along and so it shows.

Q: Taylor, can you understand why Jacob would not just let Bella go?
Taylor Lautner: I go back and forth with Jacob’s persistence. Most of the time, yeah, I can understand it, because there’ve been things in my life that I have wanted so much and when you’re told no, you just gotta go for it. If you’re told no, and you say oh ok, and you give up, I wouldn’t be sitting here today. If you believe in something, if you love something, you gotta go for it no matter what. So most of the time, I could relate.

New Layout

New month-new layout =) This time I featured 'The Hunger Games' (a 2012 movie based on a novel series). What do you guys think?

Love Hira~XOXO

P.S. I put up a poll on the right-hand corner at the top. A girl in school trashes Ian Somerhalder and I'm a big big fan of Ian so I can't stand that. She loves Jay Sean. I don't have anything against Jay but I want to prove that Ian has more fans! So people please vote for Ian and prove that!!

Taylor just proclaimed herself a “Cat lady” in a caption with this too-cute-to-be-true pic of her and her new kitten Meredith. We have to admit, we’d be okay with being cat ladies if it meant playing mommy to something as adorable as Meredith. All of these aww-worthy celeb pets have us ready to run to the local pet store or animal shelter for some furry friends of our own!
Do you have any cute pets? Tell us about them in the comments!
