American Idol Online Auditions Begin, Jennifer Lopez Rumored to be New Judge

In honor of American Idol's tenth season, the show is introducing a brand-new way to audition -- on MySpace! Beginning today through October 6, hopeful singers between the ages of 15 and 28 (as of July 15, 2010) will be able to log on to MySpace and submit an audition video. It's recommended that you sing a 40-second acapella version of one of the songs listed on the site, which will then be submitted and judged in a similar way as the live auditions. Those that make the cut will be invited to callbacks in L.A.!
In other Idol news, it's rumored that Jennifer Lopez has officially signed her contract to be a judge this season. J.Lo reportedly signed a one-year $12 million contract and will join Randy Jackson and two yet-to-be-determined new judges at the table. Ellen DeGeneres, Simon Cowell, and Kara DioGuardi are all officially not returning this year.
