Page Six reports that Zac Efron — who has recently branched out into feature dramas with Me and Orson Welles and Charlie St. Cloud — wants to star in a big-screen version of the Broadway hit Memphis.
The High School Musical hottie attended a performance of the show on Tuesday, his second time seeing it this month. And one spy said he told one of the actresses in the play, "I just can't stay away."
If Zac was up for the part in the yet-to-be-announced movie adaptation, he might be competing against Justin Timberlake, among others.
